FOREIGN MEDALS & DECORATIONS - FRANCE: Medal in pewter (1802 dated) commemorating the Battle of Marengo. The Battle of Marengo was fought on 14 June 1800 between French forces under Napoleon Bonaparte and Austrian forces near the city of Alessandria, in Piedmont, Italy. Obv: Bust of Napoleon surrounded by standards over scene of Battle of Marengo. Uniface. Inside slab by NGC "AU 55". (Bramsen 40).

Grading/Status: AU55
