Description

1922 & 1926 LOANS - 1922 Emergency issue: 1/4 right of 100 drx (1.3.1923 / Pick 76). It bears the extremely rare stamp "ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΑ ΔΗΜΟΣΙΟΥ ΧΡΕΟΥΣ ΑΝΑΓΚ. ΔΑΝΕΙΟΝ 1922...ΙΣΧΥΕΙ ΔΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΑΝΤΑΛΛΑΓΗ...Ο ΤΜΗΜΑΤΑΡΧΗΣ". The high cashier signs the banknote because it was not allowed to the cashier to do the exchange on his own decision. It is strange that the stamp says 1922 but the banknote circulated in 1923 after the emergency issue! Good.
