GERMANY: Medal commemorating the Landing at Thessaloniki (1916). Obv: Hand from the clouds punches an owl (Greece) off its pillar, implying Greeces hardships through entente. Rev: A Frenchman and Tommy in a vessel attempt to overturn the statue of Pallas Athene with a rope. Designer: Karl Goetz. Diameter: 56mm. Weight: 44,9gr. Extremely Fine.
