Description

TREASURY BONDS & FISCAL NOTES - 100 drx (18.12.1944) Provisional Treasury Note, issued in Kerkyra. Red ovpt on back of 100 drx (ND 1941) (Pick M15). Serial no "10814". After liberation, the boat carrying fresh notes to Corfu sank, and it was authorised to overprint italian occupation notes, until new notes arrive. Inside plastic folder by PMG "About uncirculated 55". (Pick 154) & (Stratoudakis - Pitidis 432). Very rare item!
